Since launching the 2021 Against the Current Scholarship, our team at jD LAW, P.C. have been busy reading, re-reading, and debating over our 5 amazing finalists. Each of them brought something unique to the table and perfectly embodied the spirit of the Against the Current Scholarship. We started this scholarship to honor students and young adults who chose to stand up for their beliefs when others doubted them. Now, we are ready to award 2 outstanding students for their stories.

We often take on difficult cases that few other attorneys would accept in order to give our clients the best defense possible. We respect any individual who takes a strong stance, even when others doubt them, which is why we launched the Against the Current Scholarship.
jD LAW Once Again Sponsors the Against the Current Scholarship
Last year, the team at jD LAW was honored by the massive amount of support we received when we launched the first-ever Against the Current Scholarship. We firmly believe in helping students achieve higher educations so that they can make their dreams a reality. That is why we are once again offering high school seniors and college students from San Diego County the chance to win one of two $500 scholarships for post-secondary expenses.

With the first half of 2020 behind us, the team at jD LAW, P.C. are proud to announce the winner of the 2020 Against the Current Scholarship! We have thoroughly enjoyed reading through our five finalists’ essays and debating the merits and virtues of each applicant. It was a tough battle, but, like our finalists, we enjoy the struggle.

Standing by your beliefs when others doubt you is a true challenge of character – and so is applying for a $1,000 nationwide scholarship! From the day we announced the Against the Current Scholarship to the deadline on May 26, 2020, we received over 330 applications from students all around the country.
jD LAW, P.C. Launches the Against the Current 2020 Scholarship
Standing up for what you believe in can be hard, especially when people doubt you. At jD LAW, P.C., we want to award students who persevere when no one believes in them, which is why we are launching the Against the Current 2020 Scholarship! This contest will award one student in the United States with a $1,000 scholarship towards their post-secondary education. This award is available to high school seniors and current college students from anywhere in the United States.

In 2017, the San Diego Generals became the first Division 1 Junior All-American Youth Football & Cheer Travel Team playing out of San Diego, California. The program was created in a low-income area of San Diego to give kids something to turn to and avoid gangs, drugs, and violence.
