jD LAW Once Again Sponsors the Against the Current Scholarship

Last year, the team at jD LAW was honored by the massive amount of support we received when we launched the first-ever Against the Current Scholarship. We firmly believe in helping students achieve higher educations so that they can make their dreams a reality. That is why we are once again offering high school seniors and college students from San Diego County the chance to win one of two $500 scholarships for post-secondary expenses.

The Against the Current Scholarship is available to San Diego County high school seniors and current college students who are in good standing with their school or university. If you are planning on attending a San Diego County University, then you are more than welcome to apply. Once we have reviewed all applications, we will award two winners a $500 scholarship each.

In order to apply, you must submit a 500-1,000-word essay that answers the following prompt:

Standing up in the face of doubt and adversity can be a powerful learning experience. We all face challenges in life that test our views of right and wrong, but what sets us apart from others is our ability to take a stance and fight for what we believe in.

At jD LAW, we stand by our clients to ensure they receive the best legal advice possible, even when other attorneys would have doubts. We have personally met individuals who have stood up for their rights and beliefs, and now we want to hear your stories.

Share with us a time you fought for something you believe was right even when others ignored the issue or advised you to move on. What motivated you to take a stance, and what did you learn from it? If you could make the same choice today, would you?

All applications are due by May 5, 2021. We will review all applications and announce the finalists on May 19, 2021. The winners will be announced on June 2, 2021.
